Functional Rehabilitation

Functional Rehabilitation

Pain causes you to modify the way you move your body and load your joints. These altered patterns limit your movement options and may remain once the pain has eased. We provide you with exercises that guide normal loading of currently or previously injured tissue and ultimately restore optimal movement. These exercises are tailored to you as an individual, your activities and the environment available to you, whether it is the living room or a gym.

Dynamic Taping

Dynamic Taping

Dynamic taping has stretching qualities similar to your skin. It helps to provide additional sensory stimulation to the region that is covered by the tape.

Rigid Taping

Rigid Taping

Rigid taping is used to provide structural support to joints, ligaments and muscles. The tape has minimal flexibility and helps restrict excessive or unwanted movement.

Gait and movement analysis

Pain or injuries may affect the way we walk and perform other movements. Injuries, overuse, disuse or overloading can all lead to impaired movement. This may cause compensation patterns (less optimal ways to move) as a result of pain and it limits your movement options. We will assess the relevant movement patterns according to your individual needs.
